With the Red Star Automatic Multi-Calendar 38 mm, Red Star presents a particularly elegant and well-proportioned timepiece that harmoniously combines classic watchmaking, historical inspiration and modern everyday usability.
This model deliberately forgoes a chronograph function and instead impresses with a versatile multi-calendar featuring day of the week, date, a 24-hour display, and an atmospheric day/night indicator with sun and moon.
Elegant design & perfect size
The polished stainless-steel case measures a comfortable 38 mm in diameter with a lug-to-lug length of only 45 mm. This makes the watch intentionally not oversized and ideal for both slimmer and average wrists.
This restrained size gives the watch exceptional versatility – it can be worn beautifully by women and men alike and is a refreshing alternative to today’s often oversized XL watches.
A visual highlight is the black-coated fluted bezel combined with the matching black crown. The silver dial with applied Red Star signature appears clean, refined and timeless.
The movement – proven Seagull engineering
Inside works the proven Seagull ST1654 automatic movement – a reliable and robust caliber with bi-directional automatic winding and integrated shock protection.

Personal background & origin
In April 2025, I had the opportunity to personally visit both the Red Star manufacture in Shenzhen (watch assembly) and the Seagull factory in Tianjin (movement production). This journey once again demonstrated the care, experience and tradition behind these watches – an impressive combination of historic technology and modern manufacturing.
