History – the legendary Chinese pilot chronograph of 1963
In the early 1960s, the Tianjin Watch Factory (today known as Seagull) was commissioned to develop a mechanical chronograph for the Chinese Air Force. After extensive testing, the watch entered series production in 1963, with only around 1,400 pieces delivered.
The Red Star Seagull 1963 is a faithful reissue of this historic model and preserves the technical and visual spirit of the original military chronograph.

In the 1960s, Seagull acquired the original production machinery of the Swiss Venus calibre 150. The ST19 is considered its direct successor and is technically closely related to the legendary Poljot 3017 column-wheel chronograph.
A screw-down exhibition case back with an extra-large window allows an unobstructed view of this beautiful mechanical movement.
