Two straps, one exceptional timepiece: The new UMF RUHLA OSTSEE V combines German watchmaking heritage with modern automatic technology, impressive specifications and a fascinating piece of East German watchmaking history.

With the new OSTSEE VI, UMF RUHLA introduces a particularly striking version of its popular OSTSEE diving watch collection. The solid stainless steel case, unidirectional rotating ceramic diving bezel and beautiful silver dial give this watch a distinctive and unmistakable appearance.

The silver dial is finely textured and this watch is named after the Baltic Sea, known as the "Ostsee" in German. Bold hour markers, distinctive hands and a bright orange seconds hand create an attractive sporting contrast.

A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the unidirectional rotating diving bezel with ceramic insert emphasises the professional character of this impressive timepiece.

With a water resistance of 300 metres / 30 ATM, the OSTSEE VI is a robust diving watch that also makes a strong impression on dry land.

In addition, every watch includes a white silicone strap with a very special historical background: Its design is an exact reproduction of a silicone watch strap from the history of UMF watches produced in the former German Democratic Republic (GDR / East Germany).

With this remarkable detail, UMF RUHLA revives an interesting element of its own watchmaking heritage, combining historical design with a modern mechanical diving watch.

Both the stainless steel bracelet and the white silicone strap feature quick-release spring bars, allowing you to change the appearance of your watch easily and without tools.

Reliable Seiko NH35A Automatic Movement

Inside the OSTSEE V beats the reliable Japanese Seiko NH35A automatic movement, which is also used in the current UMF RUHLA Kampfschwimmer diving watches.

The NH35A is one of the most widely respected and proven mechanical automatic movements available today, appreciated for its robust construction, reliability and ease of servicing.

The movement features 24 jewels, operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of approximately 41 hours.

In addition to automatic winding through the natural movement of the wrist, the NH35A can also be wound manually using the crown.

A hacking seconds function allows precise time setting.
