UMF-RUHLA TV Mechanical – 1970s Design with Historic Mechanics

Distinctive, individual and wonderfully retro: the UMF-RUHLA TV Mechanical brings the unmistakable design language of the 1970s back to the wrist. Its characteristic stainless steel TV-shaped case, with its softly rounded rectangular form, is combined with a fascinating sunburst dial that reveals constantly changing shades and reflections depending on the light.

Three distinctive dial colours are available: Linden Green, Anthracite and Dark Brown. Each version is limited to only 499 pieces.

The Heart of the Watch: a Rare ZARIA 2009B NOS Movement

The truly exceptional feature of this watch is hidden inside its case: the historic Russian ZARIA 2009B hand-wound mechanical movement.

With 21 jewels, a traditional frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour and shock protection, this slim mechanical calibre is a genuine example of traditional watchmaking. The movements come from historic, unused stocks – known as New Old Stock (NOS).

Before installation, every movement is completely serviced, carefully inspected and prepared for its new life inside the watch. In this way, the TV Mechanical combines an authentic piece of watchmaking history with the reliability of a professionally restored and tested mechanical movement.

Thanks to the sapphire crystal exhibition case back, this special movement can be admired at any time.

This is a watch for people who do not simply wear mechanical watches, but enjoy experiencing them: turning the crown, tensioning the mainspring and bringing the movement to life. A small daily ritual that represents the special appeal of a traditional hand-wound watch.

The watch is assembled in Ruhla, Thuringia – one of the most traditional centres of the German watchmaking industry. The combination of distinctive retro design, modern case quality and a historic mechanical movement makes the TV Mechanical an unusual timepiece with genuine collector appeal.
