This Pilot series honors the russian cosmonaut suit "ORLAN".

The Orlan space suit (Russian: Орлан meaning sea eagle) is a series of semi-rigid one-piece space suit models designed and built by NPP Zvezda. They have been used for spacewalks (EVAs) in the Russian space program, the successor to the Soviet space program, and by space programs of other countries, including NASA. This Pilot Chronograph is presented in a black  (abrasion resistant!), solid stainless steel case with 40 mm diameter ( with crown 44 mm ) , with  rotating bezel ( in one direction ) , screwed,  crystal back  and a special white  dial with  black arabic  numbers and red prominent  hands. The dial is cyrillic labeled.

This watch is  equipped with a hardened flat mineral glass. 20mm bandwidth.

The "Orlan" is powered of the  robust and getting rare Poljot manual winding caliber 3133 with 23 jewels, 21.600 halfrotations/hour , shock protection and about 48 hours power reserve. This caliber  is decorated with blued screws!

Comes with a brown leather strap and an additional RIOS1931  black leather strap  - with traveller  watch case.
