This Buran alarm watch Basilica has a case made of gold-plated (10 micron abrasion-resistant!) stainless steel with 40mm diameter, screwed lugs, a flat, hardened mineral glass and onion shaped crowns.

The silver dial is decorated and shows gold Arabic numerals and hands as well as a blued seconds hand.

20 mm lug width.

The Poljot caliber 2612.1 is a russian version of the legendary alarm caliber AS 1475 (AS1930), from the no longer existing Swiss  factory Adolph Schild S.A. This is the only russian alarm watch caliber that was built in the 1960s.

Unfortunately, these russian signal movements have not been produced anymore since Poljot stopped producing the movement and this alarm clock caliber is becoming increasingly rare and valuable.

The Poljot caliber 2612.1 with alarm function has 18 jewels, two separate barrels, a monometallic steel balance with 18,000 vibrations per hour, approx. 35 hours power reserve and shock protection.

The mechanical alarm tone is generated by a small hammer. The alarm tone lasts about 13 seconds and creates a mechanical rattle.

The hand-wound caliber is equipped with a Glucydur balance. Here, too, all axes are stored in synthetic rubies - even those of the alarm lever. The designation ".1" at the end shows that this is a movement with "1st class" accuracy.

Delivery with Buran special leather strap. Limited to 250 pieces. With box.

Further information on the alarm clock caliber:

You can wind the alarm clock with the upper crown or tension the spring mechanism accordingly - the longer you wind it, the longer the alarm clock purrs. (maximum 13 seconds)

The alarm clock then reliably wakes up at the set alarm time - you can turn the alarm hand through the upper crown in one direction accordingly and set the alarm time - of course you can only set the alarm time 12 hours in advance, as there is no 24 hour alarm caliber.

When the alarm time is reached, the alarm clock starts purring accordingly.

The best thing to do is to let the alarm rattle off and only pull it up again when you want to be woken up again! If you want to interrupt the alarm tone, you can do this by pulling out the crown. #

You can wind this watch up to the stop - overwinding is not possible and it is good for the rate behavior of the watch if the spring has enough winding power. If you turn the clock a little backwards when setting the time, the second blocks and you can set the clock to the second ...
