Poljot Alarm Wristwatch – Caliber 2612.1 - made in 2000 - rarity!
Rare mechanical complication in an exceptionally compact design
A true rarity for lovers of mechanical watches – and a piece of almost forgotten horological craftsmanship.
This exceptional Poljot alarm wristwatch is powered by the legendary Caliber 2612.1 – one of the very few mechanical movements ever produced with an integrated alarm function. A complication that has become extremely rare today and is highly sought after by collectors.
Inside beats a fascinating piece of engineering:
The movement features 18 jewels, 18,000 vibrations per hour, a classic monometallic balance wheel, and two separate mainspring barrels – one for timekeeping and one dedicated exclusively to the alarm mechanism.
The alarm is wound via the upper crown – the more you wind it, the longer the alarm will sound (up to approximately 13 seconds). The alarm time can also be set using this crown – up to 12 hours in advance. Once the set time is reached, a distinctive mechanical buzzing alarm is triggered.
A truly unique experience: no electronic beeping – but pure mechanical energy you can hear and feel.
Practical as well:
The alarm can be stopped by pulling out the crown. For optimal function, it is recommended to let the alarm run down completely before winding it again.
Particularly remarkable is the compact case size:
With only 32 mm diameter, a height of 11 mm, and a lug-to-lug length of 40 mm, this watch is among the most elegant and wearable examples of this rare category.
The chromed case with stainless steel back, combined with the black dial and classic Arabic numerals, gives the watch a clean, functional, and timeless appearance.
Equipped with plexiglass, it remains true to its classic character and enhances its authentic vintage appeal.
This special timepiece is delivered with a high-quality RIOS1931 French leather strap as well as a matching watch case.
