With the new KARANDASH 2, Alexander Shorokhoff takes one of its most extraordinary avant-garde designs into a new era. Powerful colours, unusual shapes and traditional fine watchmaking come together in a timepiece that is virtually impossible to confuse with any other watch.

Against the deep black dial, the elongated, bright yellow hour and minute hands with red tips make a powerful statement. At 9 o’clock, the small seconds display is surrounded by a vibrant green subdial. Opposite, a blue, partially open-worked subdial stylishly presents the date display.

A Dial Like a Modern Work of Art

The KARANDASH 2 lives from its remarkable sense of depth and dimension. The recessed dial and yellow minute ring create visual depth, while the slightly raised outer ring frames the design like a work of art.

The outer ring features the names of great artists who shaped the avant-garde movement. Picasso, Kandinsky, Malevich, Dalí, Lissitzky and other influential names become part of the design itself, underlining the artistic character of this extraordinary watch.

The striking silver-coloured “60” at 12 o’clock creates an exciting contrast with the colourful elements and has become one of the unmistakable design signatures of the Alexander Shorokhoff Avant-Garde collection.

The Real Work of Art Is Working Inside

Inside the watch beats the mechanical hand-wound calibre 3105.AS with 17 jewels and a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. The movement is elaborately decorated and engraved by hand.

Rose gold-coloured finishing, hand-polished and blued screws and elaborate artistic engraving transform the mechanical movement into a fascinating work of art in its own right.

Through the large sapphire crystal exhibition case back, this traditional craftsmanship can be admired at any time. It perfectly demonstrates what makes an Alexander Shorokhoff watch so special: avant-garde design on the front meets traditional mechanical watchmaking on the inside.

The 43.5 mm stainless steel case features a black IP coating and combines brushed and polished surfaces.
