Personally discovered in China – exclusively at Poljot24!

During my visit in early 2025 to the renowned watch manufacturers Seagull and Red Star in China, I came across this remarkable timepiece – the Red Star Bullhead 2 Chronograph.
Its striking 1970s design, paired with the proven Seagull ST19 column-wheel movement and fine details like the swan-neck regulator, impressed me immediately.

Mechanical Column-Wheel Movement Seagull ST19 with Swan-Neck Fine Adjustment

The new Bullhead 2 Chronograph by Red Star stands out with its unique design and reliable mechanics.
Its distinctive bullhead configuration – with the crown and pushers positioned at the top – gives this watch a bold and unmistakable character.

Features:

• Case: Polished stainless steel in a classic 1970s design
  Dimensions: 42 mm wide × 45 mm high (48 mm including the crown)

• Crystal: Double-domed, anti-reflective mineral glass with a vintage Plexiglas look

• Bezel: Tachymeter scale with luminous dot

• Water Resistance: 5 ATM (splash-resistant)

Movement:

• Caliber: Seagull ST19 – Mechanical column-wheel chronograph with manual winding

• Power Reserve: Approx. 45 hours

• Frequency: 21,600 vibrations per hour

The screw-down case back, engraved with a bullhead motif, reveals the fascinating inner workings of the watch. The ST19 is based on the legendary Venus 3017 column-wheel chronograph movement. In the 1960s, Seagull in Tianjin acquired the original production equipment from Venus in Switzerland.

  – fine adjustment on the clasp

• Recommendation: RIOS1931 FRENCH 18 mm leather strap in forest green – a perfect match for the green dial (see accessories below)
