Poljot Aviator IV Chronograph – Rare Caliber 31681 with 24-Hour Display

An exceptional rarity from old stock – brand new, unworn and freshly serviced by our watchmakers!

This classic Aviator IV Chronograph is one of the increasingly rare mechanical pilot's watches powered by the legendary Russian Poljot 31681 hand-wound movement. A remarkable timepiece for enthusiasts of traditional chronograph technology and collectors of Russian watches.

The Heart of the Watch: Poljot Caliber 31681 – A Rare Mechanical Movement

The mechanical Poljot caliber 31681 is a rare development of the famous Poljot 3133, one of Russia's best-known mechanical chronograph movements.

Its technical history begins in Switzerland: During the 1970s, the Soviet Union acquired production equipment for the Swiss Valjoux 7734 chronograph caliber. Based on this construction, Poljot developed the improved caliber 3133 – a robust, traditional hand-wound movement with a mechanical chronograph function.

The Poljot 31681 takes this proven construction a step further by adding a distinctive 24-hour display at 6 o'clock. Unlike the standard Poljot 3133, it features 25 jewels instead of 23.

Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, the movement features a cam-operated chronograph mechanism, Incabloc shock protection and a power reserve of up to approximately 48 hours. It represents traditional mechanical watchmaking at its finest.

Particularly interesting for collectors: Production of these Russian mechanical chronograph movements ended many years ago. Well-preserved examples of the Poljot 31681 have therefore become increasingly difficult to find.

Classic Aviator Design with Sapphire Crystal

The chronograph features a solid brushed stainless steel case measuring 40 mm in diameter. Its green and grey dial offers excellent legibility and features the characteristic additional 24-hour display at 6 o'clock.

A high-quality sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the screw-down exhibition case back provides a fascinating view of the rare mechanical chronograph movement.
