POLJOT ALBATROS – Russian Pilot Chronograph with Legendary Caliber 3133
Last pieces available – New Old Stock (NOS)
This Poljot ALBATROS chronograph is offered as one of the last remaining examples from original factory stock (NOS – New Old Stock). These watches originate from earlier production, have never been worn and represent a rare opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts of classic mechanical chronographs.
The ALBATROS is a traditional Russian pilot’s chronograph, powered by the famous Poljot / MakTime caliber 3133 – one of the last mechanical chronograph movements produced in Russia. Today, this movement is considered a true collector’s caliber.
The Poljot 3133 – A Chronograph Movement with History
The caliber 3133 combines a Russian heart with Swiss engineering. In the early 1970s, Poljot decided to modernize the earlier 3017 chronograph movement. To increase production efficiency and robustness, Poljot acquired machinery, technical drawings and know-how from Valjoux SA.
The technical base was the proven Valjoux 7733 / 7734. Poljot refined the design with a stronger balance and Russian fine regulation, resulting in a reliable cam-operated chronograph, widely used in pilot watches and professional timekeeping instruments.
Since the closure of Poljot and later MakTime, the caliber 3133 is no longer produced. Every watch housing this movement is therefore a genuine mechanical time capsule.
