Strela Blue Sky – Vintage Charm Meets Space History
The limited-edition Strela Blue Sky 1965BS40 (only 250 pieces worldwide) is more than just a watch – it’s a tribute to the golden era of space exploration. Inside beats the rare, carefully restored Poljot 2609H hand-wound movement – a true piece of Soviet horological heritage.
The 40 mm stainless steel case, featuring a mix of polished and brushed surfaces, gives the watch a refined and timeless presence. An anti-reflective mineral crystal protects the dial, which features Cyrillic script, luminous hour markers, and a striking red seconds hand – inspired by the pioneering spirit of cosmonaut Alexei Leonov, whose historic spacewalk is engraved on the case back.
At the heart of this watch lies the Poljot 2609H movement, long out of production. Strela managed to acquire original NOS stock from Poljot, which was then meticulously cleaned, overhauled, and re-oiled.
The Poljot 2609H features 17 jewels, runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour, and offers shock protection, a central seconds hand, and an impressive power reserve of approximately 40 hours. It is considered one of the most important and reliable movements ever produced by the First Moscow Watch Factory (Poljot).

• a high-quality RIOS1931 "Inzell" bio-leather strap (RRP €52) in light brown, dark brown, or black – or the elegant blue Louisiana crocodile calf leather strap
