This Flightwatch is dedicated to the Soviet attack aircraft Ilyushin Il-2 - the silhuette and signature are displayed at position "6"
Solid, brushed stainless steel case with 43mm diameter (with crown 48mm), 13mm height and 20mm bandwidth. Slightly curved, hardened mineral glass.
Black dial with green, arabic numbers and luminous hands - with red markings.
The screwed glass back gives a clear view of a verifiable pocket watch caliber with decorated work bridges / cones and blued screws.
A large and correspondingly insensitive balance oscillates with cozy 18000 half oscillations per hour and the anchor wheel, whose height play is limited by a cover plate, rotates under a separate cloak. This decorated 3603 caliber has about 41 hours of power reserve and a shock protection. It is no longer produced and has become very rare especially in the decorated version!
The Molnija pocket watch caliber 3603 comes from the Molnija watch factory in Chelyabinsk on the Urals, which today very successfully produces pocket watches and precision devices for airplanes and military vehicles. The Molnija watchmaking factory was built at the beginning of World War II when, for strategic security reasons, the watch industry, concentrated in Moscow, was decentralized.
