Poljot Aviator Alarm "Flightcaptain"

Last few pieces from old factory-stock!

The very classic Poljot Aviator Flightcaptain Alarm watch - I sold this Aviator until 2006 for EUR: 105.- but due to the end of the alarm caliber production the russian alarm watches get more expensive now. Still, this price is very competitive if you compare it with Swiss wristwatches with alarm function. It might be good to buy now such an interesting russian alarm watch until its to late.

This Poljot Aviator Flightcaptain Alarm has a matt stainless steel case ( weights with leather strap 65 gramm ) with 40 mm diameter, screwed crowns ( this watch is 5 ATM waterproof ) , a flat hardened mineral glas, 20 mm bandwidth and a decorated pressed stainless steel back. The black dial has good readable green luminous numbers ( this Flightcaptain has a big minute scale and a smaller inner hour scale )  and luminous ( Superluminova ) hands as well as an orange alarm hand and orange second hand.

This watch is powered by the now rare mechanical alarm caliber Poljot 2612.1 ( ex switzerland A.S. Schild ) with 18 jewels, two separated spring housings, monometallic steel balance spring , 18.000 halfrotations/hour and approx 30 hours power reserve.  Instead of a beeping electronic alarm signal, this mechanical alarm watch features a pleasant but clear metallic alarm signal ( rattling...) due to a small hammer striking mechanism. This makes the POLJOT “AVIATOR” alarm watch an extraordinary and rare wristwatch - limmited to 999 pieces.

Comes with Traveller watch box and RIOS1931 Buffalo leather strap "Montana"

*the upper crown sets the alarm hand to the desired wake-up time (maximum  12 hours in advance) ; it also winds the spring of the alarm function. The alarm only sounds when the alarm spring was wound. The lower crown sets the time and winds the spring of the time indicator.  The "alarm function" counts as a particularly beautiful and elaborate complication of mechanical watches and even comes back more and more at Swiss manufacturers for example the Vulcain Cricket or Jaeger le Coultre Memovox.
