Alexander Shorokhoff on Fyodor Dostoyevsky: "LIFE IS INSPIRED BY HIS MEMORABLE WORKS.
Fyodor Dostoevsky is called as the most important and prominent psychologist of world literature of the 19th century. The story of his life is a dramatic change from acclaimed highlights and bitter defeats. He spent his childhood and youth as a child of a noble family in Moscow. After his mother's death, he was sent to St. Petersburg and began his studies in civil engineering. While being still a student, he wrote his first novel "Poor People". With this work he is known abruptly.
He joins a group of young, socially critical intellectuals who deal critically with literary but also with political issues.
This so-called "Petrashevsky Circle", however, was at that time illegal. Dostoyevsky was arrested for subversion and sentenced to death. The pardon reached him until the firing squad has already been created. Two days later, he was banished to the fortress Omsk. For four years he ekes out there under the worst conditions of his life. After his release, he was constantly spied on by the Russian police. Despite all the restrictions, he founded the magazine "Time", which was due to their critical content soon banned by the censor. He traveled abroad. His restless journey takes him back over Milan, Florence, Dresden and Prague to St. Petersburg. There he works as an editor at a conservative magazine. He now no longer lives in material existence fears. But his epilepsy is getting to him. He has a cure to Germany. Meanwhile, he is mentioned in the same breath with Tolstoy. He is asked to make a speech for the inauguration of "Pushkin" -statue. The audience is enthusiastic. Dostoevsky enjoys the triumph. But as so often in his life low follows the high . An inheritance dispute with his sister gnaws him inwardly and takes him so bad that he dies shortly thereafter.
Despite all the misfortunes Dostoyevsky has created throughout his life great world literature. "The brothers Karamosow", "Player", "The Idiot", should be available only as an example. I want to honour my "Dostoevsky" a unique monument by this watch series ".
