This model of the fifth "Vintage" edition  is equipped with a Swiss manual winding caliber  called Lanco 2461, which was produced by the company Langendorf SA in the 60 years. Lanco was the brand name of the watch factory Langendorf SA, which since 1873 first manufactured calibers for other manufactories and was from 1887 largely independent of suppliers. At the end of 1880 it was  regarded as the largest watch factory in the world. In early 1971 Lanco merged with the Omega-Tissot Group and the production of the calibers  ended two years later. The Alexander Shorokhoff watchmaker company has   secured some of these rare original calibers  here, producing two models with a limit of 25 pieces each.

The caliber  is completely overhauled, brought up-to-date and then extensively hand engraved . The design also adapts to the flat model of the 1960s.

The stainless steel case has a very complex cylindrical sapphire crystal and a sapphire glass base. Like the models from the 60s, the new "Vintage V5" watches are decorated with domed cream-colored and black dials.

The dial indexes 20, 40 and 60 are manufactured in a complicated process which balances the curved part of the dial. This gives the watch a noble look.

The large-area dial conveys the feeling that the watch is much larger than in reality. This has a further advantage: it can be worn by both women and men alike.

Delivery with original Alexander Shorokhoff leather strap, watch case and papers - plus 2 RIOS1931 spare leather straps inclusive!

Here is a request from my customer Frank S. which may also be interesting for other customers:
"Dear Mr. Kampmann, I have just seen your special offer: AS.V5-W Alexander Shorokhoff Vintage 5 for 865, - Euro instead of 1.225, - Euro. May I ask, if the 5 pieces you received from Mr. Shorokhoff are 1.choice, or does the rebate refers to any blemishes? In the case of a 1st choice I would be very interested!
Best regards from Ravensburg, Frank S. "

My answer:

Good Morning!
You're right, I should describe that somehow better, otherwise the customers couldl think, these  would be watches second choice!
No, quite the opposite: the watches are "fresh" made and brand new - a "second choice" would be not possible with Mr. Shorokhoff generally , or he would rather destroy them rather than to give not perfect watches  to the customers. The quality of his watches - together with the design - is the most important point for the watch manufacturer Alexander Shorokhoff.

These watches Vintage No. 5 (both the manual winding watches AS.V5-W, AS.V5-B, and the automatic version AS.V5-S) have a special price-performance ratio. The cylindrical sapphire crystal (which looks like a Plexiglas from the 60's, but is sapphire crystal!) is very elaborate - like  the decoration of the caliber executed in Alzenau, Germany. In addition there is also the very elaborate dial with the curved edges (and the adjusted numbers!) and the very small edition ...
Best regards, Julian Kampmann
