The STRELA 1254 Officer with white riffled/guilloched dial - one of the REAL classic watches from Russia!
These Strela Chronographs belong to my very favorite russian watches - they have the very classic design of the 50´ies and are very comfortable to wear!
In the 50´ties till the 70´ties, Poljot produced the famous and popular Strela "Schaltradchronographs" with the brands "Poljot", "Sekonda" and "Strela". These Chronographs used the complicated mechanic caliber 3017 which is similar to the Venus movements. Fortunately, the russians remind themselves to this history and use this elegant 50´ties design for this new Strela watch series.
These rare watches are fitted with the well-known Poljot Valjoux caliber 3133 ( with 21.600 half rotations/hour, shock protection, 23 jewels and approx 48 hours power reserve ) , date between the position "4"-"5", screwed crystal back , slightly curved, hardened mineral glas and an elegant stainless steel case with baguette-shaped push buttons , 39 mm diameter and 13 mm height. ( diameter with crown 41 mm , lug to lug width is 47 mm )
The white special dial features a nice blue tele- and red tachymeterscale, silver hands and silver numbers / indexes and the "Chronograph Class 1" signature. Poljot once differed between better watches for the Export-market and the watches for the sale within the Soviet Union. Nowadays there is no such difference, but they remind on this historical fact by using the "Class 1" signature for these new watches. This watch is cyrillic signed.
This watch comes with a very nice Strela wooden watch-box, Strela leather strap and additionally without extra costs 3 RIOS1931 Luisiana Crocodile Calf high quality leather straps ! ( black, darkbrown and brightbrown, so you have the possibility to change the look of this watch easy yourself )
